There's no question that Valentino is known for ultra feminine, pretty, show stopping pieces that are always accompanied by the most divine accessories. His recent autumn/winter haute coutre show proved this point very clearly. Delicate layering, sorft ruffled hems, intricate detailing and bold injections of colour all combined to create a beautiful show. The gowns were largely understated in their styling however the use of exquisite silks and organza's showed you don't need to go over the top to have a truly glamorous look. The short red cocktail dress is just gorgeous. I also loved the black gown with organza overlay. A modern take on a typically classic gown. The accessories were my favourite part. Shell encrusted bow kitten heels and short cropped leather gloves with oversized bows added a mod element. I also adored the oversized rosettes on the gowns. Details have never been prettier.

I'm a Kate Spade fan - I love their design sensibility - modern with a classic grounding. Found this stunning Flo for Fluorescent Multiple Bauble Necklace on their site today. At USD$495 this would sure add dazzle to a simple dress. All I have to do now is work out how to get it here. Overseas shopping services like Bongo International may just do the trick.

These Christian Louboutin strappy sandals are just too pretty. The question then remains - why would you want to have them hidden under a long dress? Short is the answer if you have these sandals on your pretty feet. I'm not convinced they'd be particularly comfortable for 5+ hours, however they are adorable. There's no real argument, is there?! Pale pink and silver make such a pretty colour palette for any wedding. Often this colour palette is well suited to more formal affairs, however it could easily be adapted to suit a cocktail or at home party. Happy New Year to everyone! We're finally back (well I am! the other girls will be back on board next monday (lucky ducks!)) from our fabulous holidays and what a super duper break it was. I spent a lovely week in Byron Bay, followed by 4 days on the Gold Coast catching up with friends and enjoying the sunshine. Adelaide is now in the depths of a heat wave and it's hot. This is the fourth day in the over 40's. Aircon is officially my friend!

I've always been a little anti small bags. It's true, I do tend to overload my bags with at least six lipglosses, two perfumes, a fully packed makeup bag, iPod, camera and a plethora of other bits and pieces that every girl must have. I was looking at Nicole Hill Gurulat's blog today - we featured her amazing wedding, shot by Elizabeth Messina in Issue 12.




What caught my eye on Nicole's blog were these shots of her cousin Amanda's wedding hairstyle. So elegant, so simple, so stylish. Oh, and not only is Nicole a talented photographer and stylist but she made her cousin's hairpiece. Now that's a multi-tasker! Absolutely beautiful.
