Posted by Doncrack Friday, December 11, 2009

I don't know about you but I have a tendency to put holiday shopping on hold far too long and inevitably find myself scrambling for the perfect gifts at the last minute. So I thought it would be fun to spend a few minutes putting a holiday gift guide together with a bridal spin to it in case you're under the wire and searching for a few gifts for those special loves in your wedding party. And tune in tomorrow for part two! ;o)

Clockwise, from top left:

For the groom or father of the bride/groom {or your own wedding!}:
Vintage New Orleans Mardi Gras loving cup trophy from CB Vintage, $188.00 - This charming brass trophy stands 9 1/2" tall and has two masks engraved on the front along with the inscription: "Helios Maid 1957" ... Perfect for those involved in dramatics {on stage or off} And, as you can see in the photo above, it looks positively lovely holding wedding wands! For full details, click here and scroll down.

For bridesmaids or anyone you love:
Linda & Harriet 2010 Calendar, $30 - Thoroughly charming calendar complete with 12 fully letterpressed months, tied together with a double-faced satin purple ribbon. On the reverse side of each month is a post card image for easy cutting, writing & sending. I have this calendar hanging in my office and it adds the perfect touch of color and cheer!

For a special mother:
Vintage Janice Meredith book by Paul Leicester Ford from CB Vintage, $32.00 - This gorgeous vintage book features a beautiful cover and has a darling crown and heart along the spine. Charming to use as decoration throughout the house or at a wedding. It also has a copyright of 1899 - Wow! For full details, click here and scroll down.

For a special mother-in-law:
Crystal Pyramid necklace from J. Crew, $295.00 - So decadent and such a lovely sentiment to share with a new family member.

For a flowergirl or bridesmaid:
Antique skeleton keys from CB Vintage, $10.50 each - As I've been spending lots of time in New Orleans this past year, I've also learned lots of local folklore and one of my favorite that I've come across centers around skeleton keys. The saying goes that if you wear an old skeleton key on a chain around your neck, you will open the doors of opportunity and success and guard against negativity. Perfect for the days and months leading up to a wedding, no? Or even as a statement necklace on your wedding day! For full details, click here and scroll down.

For all of your bridesmaids:
Crushed Glitter Minaudiere clutch from J. Crew, $49.50 - An affordable and festive option to gift all of your lovely maids. Easily transitions from a holiday wedding to New Year's Eve soirees!

For the ringbearer or a special groomsman:
Tiny 'Doubles' loving cup trophy from CB Vintage, $58.00 - This adorable miniature trophy measures 4" tall and I believe it is made of pewter. The inscription reads: "Doubles." For full details, click here and scroll down.

For the flowergirl or a special niece:
Super cute teacup with grape & vine pattern from CB Vintage, $21.00 - Darling to fill with specialty candies or macarons and gift a little one. For full details, click here and scroll down.

For yourself:
Wool cable-knit slipper-socks from J. Crew, $85.00 - Keep yourself toasty and in style while addressing all of those Christmas cards!

For your father or your groom-to-be:
