Casual Wedding Dresses

Wedding is a very special affair and even in few years ago, people used to plan and prepare its dresses taking months together. Those were the days when wearing formal traditional wedding dresses was almost mandatory. But, with change in lifestyle and people's attitude towards social ethos, formal bridal dresses are gradually receding giving way to the next generation casual wedding dresses.

Shifting of marriage venues from churchyards to backyards has also contributed greatly in encouraging using casual wedding dresses. If you are planning to solemnize your much awaited marriage ceremony secretly in an isolated island, will you bother to go for the minute details of a formal nuptial? Collecting short informal dresses will certainly be your first preference then. Such informal dresses have their inherent advantages over their counterparts. Opportunity of creating one's own personalized wedding dresses also exists with the casual wedding attires. Seeing great potential, designers and manufacturers are also now days busy developing exotic and relaxing casual marriage dresses.

Depending upon the place of celebration, nature and design of your casual wedding dresses should be decided. Marriage at one's own backyard with complete family gathering requires sober and decent dresses. If it is a hot summer evening, you must not choose something that may help you sweat further. A nice designer strapless may fulfill your requirement. You may also go for sleeves, if you feel uncomfortable with the strapless exposures. A square or v-shaped neckline may be chosen to suit your taste. With casual bridal dresses, there exist actually unlimited options to choose ideal marriage attires. Few very common examples of informal marriage outfits are halter neckline, designer silhouettes, sleeves, waistlines, skirts with matching jackets, bridal trains, etc.

Elie Saab for Pronovias

Posted by Doncrack

Elie Saab for Pronovias- I have been photographing weddings for quite sometimes now. I have therefore built up a liking for a few special designers. Oscar de la Renta has always been my all time favorite along side Elie Saab. I had the pleasure to photograph Elie Saab Collection in Paris a few times and it is always a devine experience for the eyes. Elie Saab has designed a collection for Pronovia 2010 this year, along side Manuel Mota and Valentina Sposa who do beautiful work.
I am so much looking forward to photograph those wedding gowns.

Fun times

Posted by Doncrack Thursday, October 29, 2009

The lovely Kathleen over at Twig and Thistle blogged about these sweet pop up placemats from hello hanna. I am totally in love with them and just wish I was a kid again to have an excuse to use them! They would make a fun and bright addition to the kids table at a wedding and will surely keep the little ones occupied throughout the night.

For Australian shoppers Chic Mother & Baby will be stocking them soon on their website.

shake it up

These mismatch salt and pepper shakers make such sweet little vases, I found them on one of my favourite blogs Sunday Suppers. They would look gorgeous in a cluster or even at every place setting on your tables. You could pick them up pretty cheaply at second hand stores or ebay, they would also make a sweet favour for guests to take home.

A few more images of Milan and Tijana's wedding at the Plaza Athenee . The ceremony was hold at the Serbian orthodox church in the 18th. We all went to the Palais Royal for a few portraits. The light was gold and crisp. Perfect for photo opportunities. Beautiful fall afternoon which is stretching up to the week end I hope!

Ahoy

I've always fancied a bit of a nautical theme for a wedding - I love some of the details in this inspiration board from Snippet & Ink.

These nifty luggage tags, made from recycled sail would make wonderful decorations for something along this theme. Imagine them tied around napkins at each guest's placesetting or strung from garlands across the room. They're from reiter8 in the US.
